Air (sample)

Ambient air sampled by passive air samplers. The samplers are usually exposed for 1 or 3 months; the concentration level measured corresponds to the sampling duration. Information about the sampling duration is always required.

Human

Breast milk samples from all over the world have been analyzed for POPs (PCBs, PCDD/PCDFs, dl-PCBs, HBCDs and PBBs) since 1987. First, sampling was organized by WHO only (first to third round), then collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has begun. Three different data types are included in GENASIS: individual, pooled and spatially aggregated. Sampling has been performed in more than 70 countries.
