New Guidance materials available to update your NIPs
Nine new Guidance materials were elaborated to assist Parties in updating Stockholm Convention IMplementation Plans, namely in relation to the newly added chemicals (in 2009 and 2011) and they are now available online.
Guidance materials were prepared in collaboration of the Secretariat with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, and two Stockholm Convention Regional Centres (Czech Republic and India).
Newly developed Guidance and updated guidance will assist Parties in the process of developing, reviewing and updating National Implementation Plans under the Convention, as they were successfully tested in pilot project and were peer reviewed. The conclusion was that prepared guidance materials are practical, user friendly, applicable and technically and scientifically correct.
